Entry 8. My reading experience.

Reading is a traditional way of studying. Reading is considered to be very simple. But is isn't very simple. The purpose from reading is getting some information. If you read simply you can not get enough information. It has got its own rules. reading must consists of three steps: previewing, active reading, summarizing.
In the first step(previewing) you have to look through the text. Pay attention to the title and boldfaced texts. If there are some pictures or charts you should look at them with a special attention. The purpose from previewing is knowing what you are going to read.
In active reading you will read the text carefully. If the text is big divide it into small parts. After having read a part take a break. if you come across some specific information, dates, names write down them right away. After having read whole material and taking a break review written informations. Read the first and the last part of the text. Usually the main idea is given in the last part.
After reading actively take a break and then summarize the information in your brain. If it is possible rewrite it with your own words. It will be very good if you discuss with your groupmates over the topic. It is very useful to answer 5w and h questions.

Entry 7. My note taking experience.

Bad writing is better than good memory.
Note taking is a significant part of listening. Almost nobody is able to remember every peace of lecture, speech or text. That's why I try to take notice while listening. During the instruction's speech I pay special attention to the main idea. I think writing down names, dates, places helps us restate the lecture. While writing them in notebook I write such kind of information with red pen. I've learnt that we should review each set of notes during five days. Writing down the first and the last part of speech or superlatives is necessary. I've experienced that most teachers asks the information which mentioned during the previous lesson. So it is necessary to write down.
And notices mustn't be so long. In that case student can't remember it. Reviewing notices is the most useful to remember. Taken notices should be reviewed every day during 6 or 7 days.

Entry 6. Advantages and disadvantages of tape recording.

  In modern study activities tape recording is widely used. Especially in learning languages it is very effective. But it has got some disadvantages. For example a student can learn the lecture with the aid reading books or listening recorded speech of instructor. Most students choose tape recording. Because it is easier than reading. Tape recording make the students lazy. Moreover when you listen it, it is a little bit difficult to concentrate. Reading book is more effective and easier to concentrate on.
  But in learning languages it can be very helpful. Because listening to the language being learnt is the only way of improving listening skill.
  Tape recording wastes time also. It takes more time than even the lecture. Moreover if you record the lecture you can't concentrate and as a result you will get nothing during the lecture. That is why I prefer reading instead of tape recording.

Entry 5. Time management problems.

  Good time management is the most important thing for the person who is going to achieve something. But many people can't manage to do all their planned works on time. Because they can't manage his time and himself. The following factors may destroy your planned works:

•     1. Most people can't sto himself from doing some activities that wastes time and money. For example a student is a football fan. Today there is a match between "Barcelona" and "Real Madrid". But by his timeline he has to make presentation today. It takes the whole day. He off course see the football match. 
•     2. Coming across unexpected problems. For example, I stay in the dormitory. Today I have to write essay  and do much homework. But unfortunately, the head of the dormitory ordered me to clean a planting ground. I can't refuse it. 
•     3. I you can't your work on time next day you'll have to work two times more. And if you can't do two days' work you won't manage to do all your planned works. They will be gathered day by day and you may be a little bit depressed. 

  There is one solution to that problems. You have to do a lot. Don't worry. Choose the most important and urgent one and do it. Choose and do again and again. Don't waste your time. Then we can manage and the problems will be soluted.

Entry 4. My objectives and goals.

My goals aren't very big. They are I suppose, reachable. At first, I am going to learn English perfectly. I will learn it well if I learn books of IELTE, do the requirements of  the department. My next goal is learn Russian, Korean and Chineese. First two years I'll try as hard as possible to learn English and Russian. Next two years I'll join the other languages. Why am I going to learn languages? Because in future I'll work with foreign countries. After graduating university I'll apply for two universities: The High Business School and the Westminster University. If I'll be accepted to the High Business School I'll study there. Otherwise studying will be contiuned in Westminster University. I want to study business and be businessman. Graduating the University of World Languages with good results and learning that languages is my first goal.

Entry 3. The languge of study.

 There are more than 3000 languages in the world. But there are only six world languages. Besides, English is used more widely than others. It is the official language of many countries. It has been popular for several hundred years. So milliards of scientific and literal works have been writeen in English. That is why English can be the most convenient language to study any fields of sciense. Alot of computer proframms, the most popular newspapers, TVs, radios work in English. If you know english you can find any kind of information on internet.
 You can study in the USA, the UK, Australia, New Zerland, Canada, Japan, Korea, Denmark and other many countries with English. Also there are several English teaching universities in Uzbekistan. They can be the best universities of country. So I think English is the most suitable language to study something.

Entry 2. Touch screen and mouse.

An equipment of computer mouse was invented more than 40 years ago. Besides, it is used widely nowadays. Its appearance and function have been improved. Touch screen appeared after the ninetieth years. It can substitute for mouse. Besides, they both have advantages and disadvantages. In offices, schools, universities mouse is more comfortable. In workplaces, workshops, service centers, factors touch screen can be more convenient. Yet, the advantages of mouse are more than touch screen. For example, the we press button or monitor the more they are done harm. If mouse broken we can exchange it for little money. If touch screen broken it will cost us much money. Also the more we touch the monitor, the more it will be dirty. Now new generations of computers IPads are being popular day by day. They are very comfortable to carry with you. It doesn't have a special separate keyboard and mouse. It can be controlled with the aid of touch screen. It is one advantage of touch screen.
